Interest

In accordance with Art. 481 of the Civil Code, if the debtor is delayed in meeting the cash consideration, the creditor may claim interest for such delay. Interest rate may be specified in the contract between the creditor and the debtor (contractual interest), and if the interest rate is not specified in the contract, statutory interest rate should be applied. Interest shall be calculated from the date on which payment was scheduled to be made to the date of payment.
